“Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.” We are now in the racket phase. No rainbow flags, parades, products or declarations of solidarity will actually improve people's lives at this point. It's all performative.
This sounds like a shop I would love to visit. If the clerk can do that I wonder what else some of the toys could do.
